Helena Talbot's blog - Creative Ways To Store Your Stuff

Is your home lacking storage space?  Then you may need to get a little creative when it comes to inventing unique storage spaces.  You are going to have to really think outside of the box and we are going to help you with that.

Here are several ways to create unique storage spaces.

1.  Corner shelving
2.  Wall racks
3.  On the back  of a door
4.  A shelf or wall piece above a window
5.  Stack books etc. under tables
6.  Above kitchen cabinets
7.  A tall wall cabinet
8.  Floor to ceiling diagonal shelving in a corner
9.  Transform an old dresser and use it in your living room
10.  Buy a closet organizer
11.  Around beds and couches
12.  Under beds
13.  Build a window seat and use the storage underneath it
14.  Put bookcases or shelving around your washer and/or dryer and use as a linen closet
15.  Connect two cabinets with a shelf
16.  Use your fireplace as an off season storage area
17.  Buy a trunk and place it under a table to hide clutter
18.  Buy some old wicker suitcases and stack them for added storage

The key to finding extra storage is to not limit yourself to what you can see at eye level.  Think vertical.  Look up, down and all around.

After considering all of the above ideas and you find that you have simply  just outgrown your home.  Then it is time to call your realtor to help you get the ball rolling on buying a home that is more suitable for your current needs.  Your realtor will be more than happy to supply you with a list of homes based on your specified criteria.  So call your realtor today and before you know it your storage problem will have turned from not enough to too much!  And that is a great problem to have!
